Navajo Wild Horse round-up and slaughter

The Navajo Nation has started to round-up wild horses with the intent to take them to slaughter. The Nohooka Dine”is calling for Navajo Nation officials to seek a different solution for the wild horses that respects all Life.

WINDOW ROCK, August 29, 2013

Elders and medicine people from the Black Mesa region of the reservation known collectively as the Nohaaká Dine, or Earth Surface Holy People, have unanimously passed a resolution opposing the ongoing roundup of close to 800 feral horses.
